Sunburst Partition

A sunburst is similar to the treemap, except it uses a radial layout. The root node of the tree is at the center, with leaves on the circumference. The area (or angle, depending on implementation) of each arc corresponds to its value. Sunburst design by John Stasko. Data courtesy Jeff Heer.

Sunburst Partition 3D

Hi,

Can you give me an example of transforming Sunburst Partition to a 3D view (such as Donut 3D, Multiple donuts in this case).

Looking for this solution.

Can someone explain in detail, How the Sunburst Partition program works. I couldn't really understand how the arcs are drawn out. How does it calculate the inner radius, outer radius , start angle and endangle for all the arcs.
