Microsoft lets you download the Windows 10 ISO for free from their website. Do that and remember where you saved it (downloads folder?). 2 things to remember while going through the steps to download:
- Remember if you downloaded
Pro
orHome
edition. You'll need to know in step 2 - Download the
64bit
version

Ya sounds sketchy but it works and only costs $5
! A guy at BestBuy told me to do this and it worked flawlessly. Go to eBay and search for "Windows 10 key" and make sure you buy a key that is either Home
or Pro
edition based on which you downloaded from Microsoft.
The easiest way to open BootCamp is to type the hotkey CMD+SPACE
on your MBP. Search for bootcamp
and open the top result application. Follow the steps.
- Browse for the ISO you downloaded from Microsoft.
- Choose how much space you want to allocate to your Windows drive. I personally went almost as small as I could because I won't be doing major media things. Just installing Age.
BootCamp will automatically install the drivers you need to run Windows flawlessly which is beautiful! I don't recall how long this took but it seemed a lot faster than I imagined. A cool fact is that BootCamp also auto-paired my Bluetooth devices during install so my Mouse and Keyboard already worked!
BootCamp may automatically boot you into Windows 10.

You will want to boot back into MacOS eventually. To do so you want to go to the bottom-right corner taskbar and find the Diamond icon. Right-click and choose Restart in MacOS
This took a lot of googling. There are 2 ways:
-
While your computer is restarting you can hold the
option
key to show a boot screen where you can choose which drive to boot into. -
Go to
Preferences
->Startup Disk
and chooseWindows 10
drive and hitRestart
.
