resignation
To my successor. Cograts! You are working on dezzmo for palermo.
I was the co-founder and conciever of dezzmo's vision. Palermo and I went to high school together. We were best friends.
I'm the 'mo' in 'dezzmo'. It's our surnames put together.
I came out to sf after graduating college. He was still in college, first in art then switched to business.
One day we were talking about startups and he suggested we work on an app for rating art.
I mulled it over and came up with a professional social networking site for all creative types. LinkedIn/stackoverflow for
art.
I worked on the site for months, loved the idea, it was MY baby. Palermo is all bullshit and talk. I soon realized I
severly undervalued my contribution to the company. I wasn't worth %50, I should've gotten 60%-%90.
He was in school while working on dezzmo, I was losing money and time. He had nothing to lose, I was losing real value.
I wrote the code.
I came up with the idea.
I was losing tons of income in opportunity cost.
And he was a bad friend.
He always talks down to those around him.
He's a snake and as soon as you aren't worthwhile to him, he'll throw you under the bus.
What truly doomed us is his lack of consideration. One day he called over a girl I was dating. He said awful things about me
and then slept with her. He never told me the truth. I eventually found out from other ppl. This is the kind of person you're
doing business with.
He broke the brocode. As silly as that may read.
I eventually resigned after asking for a larger percentage of the company. I needed to know I was compensated appropriately for
my contribution. He wouldn't give it to me.
Business and marketing is important. But it's nothing without the product.
