Aunt Lil's Brisket
Ingredients:
-3-4 lb brisket.
-Large white onion
-paprika
-caraway seed
1) Chop white onion and wilt in oil with 2tbs paprika and 2tbs caraway seeds
2) Season brisket with salt, pepper, paprika, let sit for a while at room temp
3) Sear brisket in hot oil
4) Add the onions to the pot with the browned brisket and add one large can of tomato sauce and one can of water
5) Cook on stove top, on low, bubbling for 2 hours
6) Take brisket out, slice it, put it back in pot with one can of nice red wine
7) Add small red potatos, chopped carrots, and pearl onions, and cook for an additional hour
