Goorm.io is currently unavailable for US region. Some moron attempted to crypto mine inside one of the containers.

"The Oregon Region is now based on Google Cloud Platform.

At Jan 1, 2020 17:38 PM, A free user tried crypto mining inside a goormIDE container, and Google Cloud Platform immediately shut down our service infrastructure.

Absolutely our goormIDE has a system that automatically blocks and stops the operation of the crypto mining process, but Google Cloud Platform does not seem to tolerate the mining process and consider it as an illigal action

Our engineering team continue to strongly appeal to Google Cloud Platform for recovering faster US region, now.

And we consider to move our North American region to AWS like the Seoul region, add new regions, and connect computing resources owned by individuals to use goormIDE.

We are so sorry for the inconvenience. We will do our best for quick recovery."

Are you entering anything for the password? I believe there should be no password (as none will have been set), so when it prompts for a password, just press the Enter or Return key and it should work. You don't need to enter your computer password or anything like that.

As of now, there is no need to enter a password when entering the mysql-ctl cli command, as I requested that Goorm remove the password step. Sorry for any confusion!
Also, Oregon, US should be available as a region for US and nearby users.

Had a lot of errors and solved them by creating a new container and doing it differently than said in the explanation:

"This will install mysql and enable the mysql-ctl command, so you can leave those other two options unchecked."
I did check the other two options, and everything worked fine :-)
