  • Since January 2018 : co-fouder, satellite studio

    • development of prototypes showcasing product features

  • April 2014 - November 2015 : front-end developer / maps guy at La Ruche qui dit Oui !/The Food Assembly (Paris, France)

    • development of new features on the platform (mostly e-commerce and logistics) using a modern front-end stack, in a team of about 10 developers (mostly back-end developers)
    • in charge of implementing our map stack (currently a mix of Leaflet, a Mapbox basemap, Google Maps).
    • providing assistance with (interactive) cartography to the Territorial Analysis Manager and the Data Scientist.
  • Since 2010 (occasional) : teacher at Gobelins l'École de l'Image (Paris, France) Training in programming skills for multimedia development students. Formerly AS3, then Unity 3D, currently running an interactive maps workshop.

    • coding multimedia projects on various devices (mobile, web, touch screens, augmented/virtual reality) for high profile clients (Volkswagen, France 5, Roche...)

    • this period was an opportunity to explore many different technologies : Unity 3D, Haxe/NME, Arduino, Oculus Rift...
  • July 2009 – December 2010 : AS3 developer at Mijn naam is Haas (Amsterdam, Netherlands) Coding new features on a complex edutainment product, that won many awards.

Community involvement

Volunteering at CartONG since January 2015. CartONG is a NGO providing maps and geographic tools to help humanitarian organizations on the field (ONU, Action against Hunger, Unicef). Providing support to a mostly non-dev audience with git/Github, front-end, etc. Currently working on two projects about mapping humanitarian actions in Madagascar.

Skillset

  • GIS: Leaflet.js, CartoDB, Postgre/PostGIS, Mapbox stack. Some experience with GDAL, CartoDB, D3, Turf.js.
  • front-end dev: JS/ES6, Backbone.js, Marionette, Handlebars, SVG.
  • integration: SASS, CSS 3, responsive design.
  • front-end dev toolbelt: gulp, grunt, bash, npm, browserify...
  • mobile dev: Unity3D, C#, augmented/virtual reality (Vuforia, Oculus Rift), Haxe/NME, Phonegap. Published multiple aps on iOs and Android stores.
  • also tinkered with: Arduino, Ruby/Jekyll, Python.
  • design tools: very comfortable with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • languages: native French speaker, fluent in English, currently learning Spanish (A2 european level). Conversational dutch, some notions of German.

Training

  • 2008 : interactive developer diploma (Master's degree equivalent) - Gobelins l'École de l'Image, Paris. Our end-of-studies project, an multitouch table for kindergartens, received many publications and won the Europrix awards.
  • 2005 : two-year university degree in technology - Bordeaux
