Since the config for staticman (awesome static site comment platform by @eduardoboucas) has changed quite a bit since last time I've implemented it, it took me quite some time as of April 2019 to get it in place. So here comes a snappy tutorial:
- Do not add staticman as a collaborator, add it as a Github app (note "but" in the next point): (eduardoboucas/staticman#243 (comment))
- but, do not use the development API, use the production API (eduardoboucas/staticman#278 (comment))
This should solve "Too many Requests" and CORS proxy errors
