De-Vonage HT701 Basictalk HT701:

Set up a separate router to serve DHCP addresses with NO internet access.
  Set it for something different from my main router to eliminate confusion;
  This example one is made with ip address 192.168.2.1
Connect a phone to check IP address. Dial *** Then 02
Log on and use password    ERgTbCLo
Go to advanced tab and make admin password    admin
Clear Vonage firmware boxes
Check   Always Skip the Firmware Check
Authenticate Conf File: 	  No 
Click Update at bottom
Click Apply
Go to FXS tab and clear all SIP stuff at top
Update, Apply
Put the enclosed firmware somewhere on your computer in a folder
STILL NO INTERNET ACCESS ROR THE HT701!!!
Go to Advanced tab at bottom and at Upload firmware click the button
  and browse to the firmware and upload it to the HT701
Wait a good 4 to5 minutes until only the power light is on on the HT701. The
  LAN light on the router should be off. 
Power cycle the HT701 and wait till you are able to log in.
The lites should be off-on-on-off and status something like this:
  Product Model: 	  HT701
  Hardware Version: 	  V3.0A    Part Number -- 9614001930A
  Software Version: 	  Program-- 1.0.5.2    Bootloader -- 1.0.0.7    Core -- 1.3.3.7    Base -- 1.0.5.2 
To be safe, go to  the Basic tab at bottom and do a   full reset and wait 5 min until
  the first three lites come on. 
Power cycle the HT701 and wait till the two center lites come on. 
Log on with the admin password and  make sure the status is the same as line 17
Go to Advanced tab - Firmware Server Path clear out  "fm.grandstream.com/gs" and
  replace with  "firmware.grandstream.com"  (no quotes)
Clear out next box Config Server Path: 
Activate Always Check for New Firmware at Boot up 
Authenticate Conf File: should be No
At bottom, Update, Apply
Disconnect power from HT701
Connect to your Lan WITH internet access and Re-Power the HT701
Wait till HT701 boots up Lites 2&4 flash together. When flashing stops the HT701
  will restart
When phone comes to life, Dial *** Then 02 then log onto the HT701 with the new IP
  address. with password "admin"
Status tab should look like this:

  Software Version: 	  Program-- 1.0.7.3    Bootloader -- 1.0.0.7    Core -- 1.0.7.2    Base -- 1.0.7.3 
Go to Advanced tab and set  Always Skip the Firmware Check, Update, Apply
