First ever full-time Scala job opening?
| My company, Sygneca Ltd., has an opening for a Web application | |
| developer, and of course our primary development language is Scala. | |
| About us: | |
| We are a small technology solutions provider targetting SMBs, based in | |
| Basingstoke, England. We primarily develop web-based systems, such as | |
| bespoke ecommerce and content-managed websites, and are also expanding | |
| into other areas, such as business automation. Our website is at | |
| http://www.sygneca.com. | |
| About the job: | |
| Start: ASAP | |
| Salary: £22-30k depending on skills/experience | |
| We urgently require a junior developer to join our team. Experience | |
| with Scala would be ideal, but we will consider applicants who can | |
| demonstrate a working knowledge of any language (particularly Java, | |
| C++, or a functional language) and of development processes. Some | |
| knowledge of Linux and an understanding of Internet technologies and | |
| protocols such as HTML, XML, HTTP, etc. would also be beneficial. | |
| Above all, you must be able to learn quickly, as we are continually | |
| experimenting with new technologies in order to maintain a commercial | |
| advantage. | |
| The role will be varied and involve working through the whole development | |
| cycle on a number of projects simultaneously, and is likely to suit a | |
| recent graduate or a developer with 1-2 years' commercial experience. | |
| Please send applications/questions to jon.pretty@sygneca.com. |
