1. What is your greatest strength and how do you know?

• My greatest strength in the professional environment is definitely that I am a quick learner and can fairly easily adapt into a new setting. I came to understand this about myself professionally over the past several years. I enter into careers that were more and more individually focused and self driven. There wasn't a lot of opportunity for long periods of training before I had to be able to perform at a high and professional level. When I started my own real estate company, there wasn't any oversight or training besides what I was able to research and learn my own. And in the end if there was any mistakes that happened with whatever transaction or deal I was working on they would fall to me and cut into my personal bottom line. What role does empathy play in your life and how has it helped you?

A lot of my life has been spent in some sort of service industry, and for the most part I was successful in that field because of having empathy towards my clients. No matter what sort of service you are in, it can be boiled down to solving a problem for fulfilling a need. The better we are able to understand those needs, the better solutions we are able to offer. In my non-professional life, high levels of empathy have been pivotal in helping people in my personal life. Often times friends and family will come for advice, and being able to really listen to their situation and put myself in their position has allowed me to help them more than I would have been able to otherwise. This has helped me form very strong bonds with those around me and to foster those bonds into relationships that will last a long time.

Agile & Feedback Reflection Guidelines

1. What have you learned about the use of agile vs. waterfall in software projects? I think the development cycle of an Agile design program is much easier because with a much shorter iteration time frame it is easier to catch design choices that will hamper a feature later. In FUTBOL, with its much smaller scale, it was easy to identify days we would have problems because they were days that we hadn't created our "Production" program in a couple days. By this I mean, when we were all working on different ideas that if someone had slightly tweaked the design it would cause a ripple effect that no one else would see until it was all put back together. By making small iterations and starting from a working design frequently it was easier to see the program evolve and keep working.

• HTML is Hyper Test Markup Language. It is the language that describes how a specific pages is rendered to the user. This is done through different element tags and their attributes.

Throughout my life, I have always been driven by a handful of values. These values have been what has guided me to my different hobbies and careers. Being challenged to solve complex problems, assisting others in their needs, and to have my resourcefulness be an assist in both an individual and team setting has been a common theme through my careers. Though through each of them, there was something missing. A passion for creating something and for technology.

I found Turing School for Development and Design because I knew going forward to I need something that could take the skills I have been growing and apply them to something that had those missing links. Now with software development I get to flex those skills in teams and individual environments and be apart of something I truly am passionate about.

• What is one thing that went unusually well during this project? I believe that the separation of duties let us complete this project easily. We were able to keep track of what User Story each of us were working on and piggyback off of that work to meet our self placed deadlines.

1. Who your contact is, why you want to connect with them, and what you want to talk about? I plan to reach out to Nathan Froehlich. He is a Turing grad that recently moved to Austin. I would like hear about his experience in moving and how Austin has treated him. I would also like to know what took him down to Austin.
