Zarr CZI EOSS Round 1: Proposed Deliverables

Zarr v3 spec

  • Deliverable 1.1.: Completed draft of the Zarr core protocol specification v3.0. [Month 3]
  • Deliverable 1.2.: Community consultation and review of the Zarr core protocol specification v3.0. [Month 4]
  • Deliverable 1.3.: Revised draft of the Zarr core protocol specification v3.0, approved for publication by Zarr core development team. [Month 6]

Zarr v3 implementations

  • Deliverable 2.1.: Python implementation of the v3.0 protocol. [Month 12]
  • Deliverable 2.2.: C/C++ implementation of the v3.0 protocol. [Month 12]
  • Deliverable 2.3.: JVM implementation of the v3.0 protocol. [Month 12]
  • Deliverable 2.4.: Interoperability test suite for implementations of the v3.0 protocol. [Month 9]

Community outreach

  • Deliverable 4.2.: Roadmap of Zarr technical development required to support emerging biomedical applications, focusing on imaging/microscopy and single cell biology. [Month 9]
