Comunity Impact

Hi, My Name is Sebastian Gomez and I am Web UI developer (AKA Front-end Developer) at @globant, but also I organize the GDG Medellín. Here is my community impact in Web Technologies.

1. GDG Medellín (Organizer - Community Meetup)

GDG community held in Medellín with +1354 members and +30 attendees per meetup. So far we carried out 31 meetups: since 2015

2. NgColombia (Speaker)

Latin America first Angular conference held in Medellín and gathering +330 attendees and 8 different speakers, including 3 GDEs: I talked about Angular TestBed.

3. NgColombia (Speaker Workshop)

Latin America first Angular conference held in Medellín and gathering +330 attendees and 8 different speakers, including 3 GDEs: I run about How to write effective unit tests with Angular TestBed.

4. Angular Week (Organizer)

I created the Development Week with the Globant support this event was carried out with +500 members and +120 attendees per day. 8 lighting talks and 1 workshop1.

5. Angular Week (Speaker Workshop)

I participated in the same Angular Week with workshop about Ionic + TDD + PWA.

6. React Week (Organizer)

I created the React Week with the Globant support this event was carried out with +400 members and +100 attendees per day. 8 lighting talks and 2 workshops.

7. DevFest Medellín 2017 (Organizer & Speaker)

I participated in the Google Dev Fest Medellin as Organizer but also I talked about How to implement Google Vision API in Node.js.

8. GDG Lima (Speaker)

I participated in a regular GDG Meetup in Lima City talking about offline with firestore and PWA.

9. GDG Medellin 2018 Aniversary (Speaker)

I participated in the GDG Medellín Aniversary talking about tensorflow.js.

10. Google I/O Extended Lima 2018 (Speaker)

I participated in the Google I/O Extended in Lima City talking about tensorflow.js, With more than 50+ attendes to my talk.

11. International Woman Day (Organizer & Speaker)

I participated as Organizer and speaker in the IWD18 with WTM and GDG Medellín talking about how to make music with react / firebase and tone.js

12. Google Launchpad Medellín 2017 (Tutor & Speaker)

I participated as mentor in Launchpad 2017 in Medellín.

13. Google Launchpad Medellín 2018 (Tutor & Speaker)

I participated as mentor in Launchpad 2018 in Medellín Bintech Bancolombia.

With more 1300 unique visitors per month I created a deep Javascript content in my personal website to stay relevant:
