Privacy Policy for Unhider for Reddit

1. Data Collection

Unhider for Reddit does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, telemetry, or analytics. The extension operates entirely locally within your browser.

2. Permissions

The extension requires the following permissions solely for its core functionality:

  • webNavigation: Used locally to detect when you navigate to different pages within Reddit's Single Page Application (SPA), triggering the extension to check if archived data needs to be loaded.
  • Host Permissions audit (*://*.reddit.com/* and https://arctic-shift.photon-reddit.com/*): Used to run the script on Reddit pages and to securely fetch archived, public text from the third-party Arctic Shift repository.

3. Data Sent to Third-Party Services

The only data transmitted by this extension is the username of the Reddit profile you are currently viewing. This username is sent to the Arctic Shift public archive API solely to fetch that profile's publicly archived posts and comments. No passwords, tokens, cookies, or any of your personal account data are ever accessed or transmitted.
