SnapEdit collects anonymous usage analytics to improve the extension. Your screenshots never leave your device. We do not collect personal information, browsing history, or screenshot content.
We collect the following data to understand how the extension is used and to fix bugs:
- Anonymous User ID - A randomly generated identifier (e.g., "anon_x7k2m9"). This is NOT tied to your identity.
- Session Information - When you open/close the extension and session duration
- Feature Usage - Which tools you use (arrow, blur, text, etc.)
- Extension Version - To track bug fixes across versions
- Platform - Operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Chrome Version - Browser compatibility tracking
- Error Reports - When something breaks, we log the error type (not your data)
- UX Signals - Repeated clicks on the same button (helps us find confusing UI)
- Your screenshots or images (these stay on YOUR device)
- URLs you visit
- Your name, email, or any personal information
- Browsing history
- File contents
- Anything you type
Analytics data is sent to Supabase, a secure cloud database. Data is retained for product improvement purposes.

Since we only collect anonymous data, there is no personal data to delete. If you want to stop all analytics:
- Uninstall the extension, or
- Block network requests to
supabase.cousing an ad blocker
- All data transmitted over HTTPS
- No sensitive information collected
- Anonymous IDs cannot be traced back to individuals
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be noted by updating the "Last Updated" date.

In Plain English: We track which buttons you click to make the extension better. Your screenshots stay on your computer. We don't know who you are.
