TrackHuntr is a Chrome browser extension that helps identify music tracks from YouTube videos. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
When you use our extension on YouTube watch pages, we automatically extract:
- Video title
- Video description text
- Channel name
- YouTube video URL
- Extension settings and preferences (stored locally in your browser)
- Extension identification information sent to our API service

- Video metadata may be cached for up to 30 days to improve service performance
- No long-term storage of personal data
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties, except:
- Music Database APIs: Video metadata may be sent to third-party music identification services (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) for track matching
- Cloud Infrastructure: Our service runs on Railway.app's cloud infrastructure
- We may share data if required by law, court order, or government regulation
- To protect our rights, property, or safety
- To protect users or the public from illegal activities
- You can uninstall the extension at any time to stop data collection
- Extension settings can be modified through the extension popup
- All stored data is deleted when you uninstall the extension
- You have the right to know what data is collected and how it's used

- All API communications use HTTPS encryption
- Extension requests include secure authentication headers
- We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data

Our extension is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
