issues in 1 place so they don't vanish into the discord abyss

Legend

  • Not done
  • Done
  • Won't do

Enchants

  • Strange prices:
    • Silk Touch is insanely expensive at 1.75 mil.

Farming

  • You can't sell:
    • Potatoes
    • Pumpkins
    • Melon slices (intentional? melon blocks are sellable)
    • Red or Brown Mushrooms
    • Beetroots or their seeds
    • Kelp
  • Missing
    • Cocoa, already under dyes
  • Wrong place?
    • Ink sacs are a mob drop, they're actually already under mob drops and dyes. Only sellable in dyes and cheaper to buy in mob drops

Ores

  • Can't sell
    • Quartz
    • Coal Block (QoL)
    • Iron Block (QoL)
    • Redstone Block (QoL)
    • Lapis Block (QoL)
  • Missing entirely
    • Diamond Block (QoL)
    • Emerald Block (QoL)

Food

  • Can't sell
    • Rabbit Stew
    • Apples (Same in farming, although apples aren't really farmable (unless i'm stupid))
    • Beetroot Soup
  • Mismatched numbers
    • Apples are cheaper to buy in Food than in Farming.
    • It's more profitable to craft bread and sell it instead of selling 3 wheat. 1 Bread sells for 67.5, 3 Wheat sells for 18.75 (Intentional)

Mob Drops

  • Can't sell
    • Ink sac
    • Rabbit's foot
    • Egg
    • Rabbit hide
    • Feather
    • Prismarine things
  • Mismatched numbers
    • Cheaper to buy 9 golden nuggets (100) and craft an ingot from Ores than to buy one (500).

Misc

  • Strange prices
    • A compass costs 1000, while a clock costs 60, enchanting table 700 and anvil 775. Compass = 4 iron 1 redstone, Clock = 4 gold 1 redstone, enchanting table = 2 diamonds 4 obsidian 1 book, anvil = 31 iron
    • Beacons cost 250k but nether stars cost 145k, the other materials needed for crafting a beacon surely aren't worth 105k

Maybe sell a golden shovel here for claiming idk

Tools

  • Strange
    • Gold swords are hot garbage, worse than wooden but they cost more than iron
    • Gold armour costs significantly more than iron, but is worse in everything except enchantability
    • Diamond helmet costs significantly more than diamond boots, but boots have higher durability and the same defense stats.
    • Diamond tools all cost the same, but don't need the same amount of diamonds to craft.
  • Mismatched
    • Tying into the last point in strange, it's cheaper to buy 1 diamond and craft a shovel rather than buying one from Tools.
  • Missing
    • Shield, it's in Misc but I think it'd belong in tools/armor/weapons

Some numbers

Mining

  • Mine 32 diamonds: $20800
  • Mine 16 emeralds: $15200
  • Mine one stack of iron: $6400
  • Mine one stack of gold: $3840
  • Mine one stack of coal: $150

Farming

  • Harvest 15 stacks of wheat: $6000
    • You can also sell seeds, but you can be anywhere between 0-1920 seeds post-replant so:
    • Sell leftover seeds: $0-15'000
  • Harvest 15 stacks of sugarcane: $4500
  • Harvest 15 stacks of cocoa beans: $2208
  • Harvest 15 stacks of potatoes: $900
  • Harvest 15 stacks of carrots: $750
And if you process the harvest
  • Bake 15 stacks of potatoes: $7500
  • Make 5 stacks of bread: $21'600
  • Make 60 stacks of cookies: $24'000

Conclusion?

Without crafting the harvests, farming kind of sucks. I think that's fine since the harvesting can be automated, but the difference between bread and 3 wheat might be too big when there's barely any effort needed to get from one to the other. Worth noting that iron and gold farms exist.

And I don't think I need to say it but cookies are strong. It takes 15 stacks of wheat and 7.5 stacks of cocoa beans ($7104) to make $96'000, the only tedious part is that your inventory will fill up. 🦀 cookies are gone 🦀

I hope I math'd right.

this is more or less just issues with some thoughts thrown in, i'll make the issues bold if you wanna prioritize those

Job

A lot of players (not just new ones) didn't know about jobs, maybe have something at spawn

Ok i just read your message ingame about incoming tutorials

Farmer

  • Gets paid for placing wheat seeds instead of harvesting grown wheat, even if it can't be automated anymore it's kinda backwards. you don't get rewarded for waiting for it to grow, you can just break it and place it again for money
  • Doesn't get paid for anything involving mooshrooms (breeding, milking, soup bowling(???))
  • Doesn't get paid for breeding turtles
  • Doesn't get paid for anything involving sugarcane, in /jobs info Farmer it says Legacy sugar cane block. probably related

Hunter

  • Doesn't get paid for killing Phantoms

GriefPrevention

The cap for how much blocks you can claim (2000) is kinda low/abitrary, my base is 17k blocks to claim the area, or $340000. most new players can't do that and i don't think they should be limited to what they can build because of it

Voting

it brok

Crates

Might be fine now, but before you didn't get the reward if it was keys

mcMMO

it brok, but there's nothing you can really do New one seems to resolve the command issues, but the xp curve is extremely harsh and abilities look overbuffed (Super Breaker last 91s at level 448, Unarmed's Iron Arm does +8 bonus damage at level 27) (reverted to old one)
