I'm surprised nobody else has commented on this. Thanks for your hard work! Made my purchasing research a lot easier (went with Voigtlander 40mm/1.4).

Thanks all, I'm glad you found it handy. In the end, I got the Minolta CLE 40mm f/2 and love it.

@maxogden Actually, the "Lengths" I specific are the lens plus and lens adapter. It turns out the Minolta MD (SR-Mount) has a 43.5mm lens adapter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flange_focal_distance). I've heard good things about the lens though!

This is a great and incredibly useful list! But what about MS Optical Super Triplet Perar 35/3.5 and other MS Optical lenses? I've never used them, but would love to see data on them if anyone has any!

@sincerelysofi In earlier versions of the list I had some MS Optical lenses. But the current version of the list excludes all lenses that heavily vignette on the various a7 sensors. This includes the MS Optical pancake lenses, various old Russia lenses, and the Olympus body cap 15mm f/8.

I wish I could get my hands on a Perar 24mm or 35mm. I would carry my camera around a lot more than I do.

I think you could add the Pentax M 40mm f2.8, it's really small... I could take a measurement of mine with the adapter :)

@acarrasco You win! It's been a while since I added a new lens to the list, but that SMC Pentax-M 40mm is just tiny. It's less tiny with the adapter, though. There is some light vignetting and the IQ will never be pixel-peeper perfect on the a7, but whatever.
