Overview
Duckling is designed for fast, private “!bang” navigation. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal or sensitive user data. All processing happens locally on your device.

What we collect
- No personal information.
- No search queries, browsing history, or page content.
- No usage analytics, telemetry, or unique identifiers.
- No cookies are set by the extension.

How data is processed
- All input you type after invoking the extension (bang + query) is processed entirely on-device and not logged.
- The final destination URL is constructed locally.
- The only network request initiated by Duckling is the final navigation to the site you choose.

Permissions and behavior
- Uses the Omnibox (address bar) API to show suggestions and open the resolved URL.
- May use local extension storage to keep user preferences or custom bangs; this data stays on your device and is not synced or transmitted.
- Does not inject content scripts, modify webpages, or run on sites you visit.

Data sharing and selling
- We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties.
- No third-party analytics, ads, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting.

Retention
- Aside from optional local settings you choose to save, Duckling retains no data.
Third-party sites
- When you navigate to a destination (e.g., a search engine or documentation site), that website’s own privacy policy applies. Duckling does not control or monitor those sites.
Children’s privacy
- Duckling is not directed to children and intentionally collects no data.
