I have been extorted in the amount of $155.79 by Vodafone. Since yesterday, I
have pledged to ensure that this type of theft from your company is
non-profitable to you and so far, I believe I have been very successful. Indeed,
I believe I have met my goal already.
For a good amount of last year (2012), I tried explaining to your technical
support that you provided me with a defective device (Samsung Galaxy S2). It is
defective because the antenna firmware is incompatible with your network. I can
demonstrate this to any one of your network monkeys. However, it will now cost
you my regular consulting fee should you choose to pursue this avenue (I'd have
done it for free prior).
Vodafone's response at the time of my complaint was to repeatedly ignore the
technical details of what I was saying, then simply make an assertion that the
device is "100% compatible."
By ignoring the technical details of what I was saying, Vodafone invited
themselves to blame the local tower to my home and promise me to fix that issue
soon with a planned network tower upgrade. This scam had you charging me
half-price for my service. It is too bad that you refused to listen to what I
was saying, because I was now paying half-price for an unusable service.
Rather than deal with the inanity of Vodafone, I notified you that you were in
breach of your contract, in breach of Trade Practices Act 1974 section 71 (1)(2)
and that I intended to terminate payment for the quasi-service accordingly. At
the time of termination, I owed you a total of $37.87, which I repeatedly
offered to pay.
Since that time, you have made all sorts of threats, including a credit default
that you have carried through with. Last night (08 August 2013), I paid the bill
(193.66) to remove the credit default, but not to be defeated by incompetent
bullies such as yourself, I also notified your operator that I will be taking
proactive action to ensure that your profiteering from this extortion is
uneconomical. Not just in my case (I have already achieved that), but for all
cases.
From this day forward, I intend to continue pursuing the goal stated herein.
