General Information

Name Tudor Barbulescu

Location Canberra, Australia

Occupation Developer Programmer

About Me

I've been a developer for about 10 years now, coding since I started high school (in 2009, I did 3 years of C++ then). I grew up in Romania and moved to Australia when I was 19 where I graduated with a Bachelor's of IT from the ANU (Where I did lots of Java, algorithms, databases, some AI and lots of visual stuff).

Since then I did a lot of javascript and python programming (for various tasks, mobile and webapps, web scrapers, trading bots, flying drones, iot, etc) and a bit of C#, mostly in Unity. I've been involved in the blockchain space since early 2017, tinkering with Ethereum smart contracts and participating in all sorts of blockchain related hackathons.

Experience

After graduating University I've worked for Gatcoin developing their mobile app mostly by myself. View demo on expo

Afterwards, I have been contracted by Origin Finance to build their E-Commerce platform (for which I lead a team of 3 software engineers to do so from scratch in React and using AWS).

I've also founded a startup aiming to improve students orientation experience at universities through a pokemon go - like location based AR app, which I developed together with a team of 8 students and trialed in my university.

Since January this year I've been developing the Nuls mobile wallet. View demo on expo

I also have a YouTube channel on which I sometimes put videos of me programming.

Why do I want to join the CCC?

I'd like to join the CCC because I like the people involved, I like the seriousness of the project with not much hype but good fundamentals, which can take on the likes of Ethereum, Neo or EOS. Joining the CCC would allow me to improve my skills in blockchain development and give me some credibility in this field, even if I'll be doing more front end stuff at the beginning. Also, it'll add some money to my pocket, even though it's like a bet for me: while atm the reward might not be that much, in the future it has a big potential .

Goals after joining the CCC

My goals are to continue the work on the mobile wallet and to add new features (make it functional with nuls-js, add staking, add a rich list, and others) improve the designs (wit the help of Claudio) and further develop the Nuls libraries. Once I'm done with this, I aim to work on developing Nuls smart contracts, potentially improving Nuls 2.0, maybe creating a Nuls blockchain simulator, making it work with IOT, or help with anything else that's needed and I know how to.
