Roth Search Helper (the "Extension") is a browser extension designed to provide web search capabilities to the Roth AI assistant. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting any information that may be processed through the Extension.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).
- No Account Required: You do not need to create an account to use the Extension.
- No Tracking: We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any other tracking technologies.
- No Data Storage: We do not have a backend database. All search result parsing happens locally in your browser.
The Extension performs the following actions purely to provide its core functionality:
- Search Queries: When a search is triggered, the query is sent directly to DuckDuckGo (https://duckduckgo.com).
- Local Parsing: The HTML from DuckDuckGo search results is parsed locally on your device to extract titles and snippets for the Roth AI assistant.
- Transmission: The parsed results are sent only to the authenticated Roth AI web application (rothai.netlify.app) via secure internal browser messaging.
The Extension interacts with DuckDuckGo to provide search results. Use of these results is subject to DuckDuckGo's privacy policy.
The Extension uses standard browser security protocols and restricted host permissions to ensure that communication remains secure and limited to authorized domains.
