Not having PayPal lost us business
We integrated Stripe as our payment option (still have it) but we found a lot of people still wanted PayPal and actively wrote to us or phoned to ask if we accepted it.

  • Added PayPal as an additional button to Stripe on checkout page and we now see about 25% checkout with PayPal and a revenue increase (not sure of exact figure right now)

No more emails asking for other payment options.

User surveys on Thank You page are super valuable
Asking customers for feedback on thank you page has given us many insights. A good percentage complete the simple, anonymous 4 question form that's just embedded Google Docs questionnaire.

  • Key question to ask is: "Was there a point while browsing on our site where you considered not buying from us?"

This question has given us some amazing insight into what a user will endure while still completing a purchase.

No billing address:
We don't require a billing address to process a payment (with Stripe) - we had a number of people asking where to put billing address or confusing delivery address with billing.
-- Have added a form note to indicate we only need delivery details - no emails/enquiries in the 3 weeks since we did that.
