Ripple Server Migration 2020

We have changed our infrastructure. You must update to the new IP to keep playing. Please follow these instructions.

If you're using the server switcher

(you can download it from here in case you lost it)

  • Close osu!
  • Disable your antivirus
  • Open the switcher
  • Wait a few seconds for the switcher to refresh
  • Open osu! and you should be able to connect to the new server

There is no need to re-install the certificate, it is the same one as before!

If you're editing the hosts file manually

(eg: Linux, Mac OS X and some Windows installations)

  • Close osu!
  • Open your hosts file with Notepad as administrator (or sudo nano it on Linux/Mac OS X) (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts on Windows, /etc/hosts on Linux and Mac OS X)
  • Delete all lines that contain something.ppy.sh
  • Add this at the bottom:
136.243.80.59 osu.ppy.sh
136.243.80.59 c.ppy.sh
136.243.80.59 c1.ppy.sh
136.243.80.59 c2.ppy.sh
