San Francisco in the time of Coronavirus
That unobstructed view, looking down Market Street,
All the way to the Ferry Building,
Devoid of people,
Yet still
Littered with needles and detritus.
FiDi is the new Ghost Town.
Boba Guys has no line.
South Beach offers 3 Months Free Rent Concessions
On 24 Month Leases.
We have always had enough empty units
To house all the homeless
And their families and friends.
Now these same units sit vacant
Because the foreign investors see no profit
In renting to those who cannot afford pre-COVID19 rates.
It feels just like old times.
Resources of the earth,
That could help human life,
Made scarce through arbitrary capital.
