Lo primero que necesitamos es una Unidad Flash o Pen Drive de mímino 8 GB de almacenamiento, el cual debemos formatear en un sistema de archivos HFS (Mac OS Plus) y con un Esquema de Particiones GUI. Esto lo haremos desde la Utilidad de discos de OS X. | |
Para el ejemplo llamaremos a este Pen Drive USB | |
Una vez descargado Yosemite en la carpeta Aplicaciones cancelamos el proceso de instalación/actualización que nos saltará al bajarse Yosemite pues lo que queremos en este momento es crear el USB. | |
Ahora ya podemos iniciar el proceso de volcado del sistema al USB y crear un medio de instalación. Abrimos la terminal y copiamos lo siguiente. (recuerden que al Pen Drive le habíamos dado el nombre de USB) | |
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app --nointeraction |

1.- Descargar macOS Sierra desde la App Store de Apple. | |
2.- Se bajará a la carpeta Aplicaciones. | |
3.- Se abrirá el proceso de actualización, instalación, cerradlo. | |
4.- Necesitamos un Pendrive, tarjeta SD, etc, mínimo de 8 GB, 16 GB recomendado. Lo pinchamos al Mac. | |
5.- Desde la utilidad de discos lo formateamos como HFS Plus, (o OS X Plus)con registro, esquema de particionado GUID, y como nombre le ponemos USB (por ejemplo) | |
6.- Abrimos la terminal y copiamos y pegamos la siguiente orden, donde hay que recordar que al Pendrive lo hemos llamado USB. | |
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction && say Proceso Terminado | |

Preparación y creación del USB install | |
1 – Descargar macOS Catalina desde la App Store de Apple (ahora en preferencias del Sistema, actualización de software). | |
2 – Catalina se bajará a la carpeta Aplicaciones. | |
3 – Se abrirá el proceso de actualización, instalación, cerradlo. | |
4 – Necesitaremos un Pendrive, tarjeta SD, etc, de más de 8 GB, 16 GB recomendado. Lo pinchamos a un puerto USB de nuestro Mac. | |
5 – Desde la utilidad de discos lo formateamos como HFS Plus, (o al nuevo APFS si lo permite), esquema de particionado GUID, y como nombre le ponemos USB (por ejemplo) |
