Privacy Policy for Bitab

Bitab ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension handles your data.

1. Data Collection and Storage

Bitab does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your personal data.

• Local Storage: All data generated by Bitab (such as your saved tab lists, creation dates, and extension settings) is stored locally on your device using the browser's chrome.storage.local API.
• No Remote Servers: We do not operate any remote servers, databases, or analytics services. Your data never leaves your browser environment.

2. Permissions Usage

Bitab requests the following permissions to function:

• tabs: Used exclusively to read the title and URL of your open tabs when you choose to save them, and to open them back up when you restore a list.
• storage: Used to save your tab lists locally on your device.
• contextMenus: Used to add "Save current tab" and "Open Bitab" items to your browser's right-click menu for easier access.

3. Third-Party Services

Bitab does not use any third-party tracking tools, analytics services (like Google Analytics), or advertising networks.

4. User Control

You have full control over your data. You can:

• View all saved data within the extension's "Saved Tabs" page.
• Delete individual tabs or entire lists at any time.
• Export your data to an HTML file for backup or transfer.
• Clear all extension data by uninstalling the extension.
