I just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work on P6. I keep up to date, but don't currently contribute to the project. One reason is that it isn't super easy to jump in just yet. There are doc pages (which I know are being worked on), the excellent Perl Intro article, great YAPC presentations, and talks like the one you did that got on HackerNews. Those all give me a taste of the language and a great overview, but not what I'd need to really dig into such a massive language. Your bug report blog articles are great, but some of us need a little extra help with the language first :). I've asked several people in the community if they have a P6 book planned. What I've gathered from most people is that they're taking time learning more about it, gathering material, and waiting for things to solidify. With that in mind, I estimate 2-3 years before we see a release. That is understandable as it is a massive undertaking. One way to bridge that gap might be a YouTube channel with beginner tutorials from setup on various OSs to program structure, testing, making use of the different paradigms, use of editors besides vim...etc. I'd love to help, but need to get up to speed myself first. I know you're very busy, but if you had the time to post some tutorials with your example workflow it'd be very helpful to me (and perhaps others). Have a great day!
