Thank you for this. In order to compile on a Mac:
Makefile:
%.o: %.lex.c %.tab.c
$(CC) -Wall -o $@ $^ -ll

In both json.l and json.y add just before the .h includes:

#ifndef YYSTYPE
# define YYSTYPE char*
#endif

in json.y add "int yylex();" in the includes as well.

Sorry I can't submit a pull request on a Gist. So comments it is.

Thanks for sharing this. A couple of comments:

I think whitespace should include carriage return i.e.

[ \t\n\r]+ /* ignore whitespace */;

in json.l

Also, the root should accept VALUE not just OBJECT | ARRAY in json.y (see https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7159#section-2).

How should I compile and run in Ubuntu?

denzuko commented Jun 9, 2023

@wiany11 with make json and ./json. Need a few dependencies:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install flex bison build-essential
make json
sudo install ./json /usr/local/bin/json
tee -a $HOME/.bashrc >/dev/null <<**
export PATH=/usr/local/bin:${PATH}
**

to use in a terminal, type json
