Is Kosher

Easy

  • Is it vegetarian? It's kosher! All done!

Fish

  • Regular fish (tuna, salmon, cod, etc.)

Chicken & Beef

  • If it's "kosher" meat (from a Kosher butcher or some grocery stores have a kosher meat section) AND
  • If it ISN'T made/mixed with a dairy product (butter, cheese)

Isn't Kosher

Fish

  • Sea creatures (scallops, crab, shrimp, lobster, octopus, sea urchin ...)
  • Some odd fish that don't have gils: catfish, shark, swordfish

Chicken & Beef

  • It's from a regular grocery store butcher or restaurant
  • It's mixed with dairy (cheeseburgers are no-nos)
