    Only in the Video Game industry.
  • What positions are you most interested in?
    UX/Product/Frontend Developer/Architect. Extensive skills in UX/Product Design, Developer Evangelism, Teaching, and Full Stack
  • Do you want SR position?
    Yes and no. I want to work at a company with a flat org structure, with other senior-quality devs I can bounce ideas with and learn from.
  • Where do you want to work?
    Telecommute-friendly and/or in the city (San Francisco only).
  • What vertical do you like to work in?
    I prefer Business2Consumer companies. Eat my own dog food translates to caring about the product.
  • Why do we want you?
    I'm a ridiculously passionate hacker who will go out of his way to learn the tech for whatever needs fixing or improving. I've founded Open Source orgs, worked on countless projects, and given talks at conferences. This isn't a 9-5, it's my default passion. Tell the engineers to checkout my Github or google "Dean Sofer".

What I care about:

  • Culture
    • Like-minded people who I can be friends with outside the office as well as inside
    • Quality code for longer lifespan
    • UX is one of the most important tenants of the product
  • Open Source involvement
    • Code is constantly scrutinized
    • We communicate constantly ad-hoc, async, and direct yet still produce results
    • We are self-driven for quality because we care about the product
    • We are passionate about community, learning and improving
  • Product design / UX and quality code are the teams most valued qualities
    • I want to spend most of my time creating, not fixing
    • Awesome products sell themselves
