Instruction on adding a Acknowledgements Settings.bundle
  • To add Settings.bundle in Xcode. Command N and in Resource, choose Settings Bundle .
  • Open Root.plist in source code, paste the code below to replace it,

  • Right click Settings.bundle, choose Open in Finder.
  • In Finder, right click Settings.bundle, choose Show Package Contents.
  • Command D to duplicate the Root.plist.
  • Rename the duplicated one to Acknowledgements.plist.
  • Back to Xcode, open Acknowledgements.plist in source code, and replace the content with code below,

The big chunk of data above in string tag is the place you can place your long long third party license.

  • Finally in the Settings.app, we got the license section as Apple did in a lot of apps.

[Update] When the behavior is weird, try to reset the simulator :-)

Thanks for posting this! when I follow these instructions, all the text appears in caps. Is that the intended behavior?

<key>Title</key> will intended in caps. Text in <string></string> won't.

How would I modify this then so that the paragraph that starts with "Permission..." is not all caps?

Nevertheless I also encounter the same issue as pietrorea, whatever I put in the <string></string> also got CAPS.

Any idea ? Suggestion ?

UPDATE:
After 3 secondes of research I found the answer. 😄
You need to replace <key>Title</key> by <key>FooterText</key>

@zetachang Why are all the text capitalized? I am running simulator iOS 14.2, Xcode 12.5, macOS 11.2
