Remarks

Bot counts for older events are missing any players who have switched factions between the respective atlantis' end and late 2020, since I gathered the initial dataset around that time by looking up ZoneIDs using the app. This has also led to a small number of zone captures.
The battlestats of the final day should have the original, or at least more trustworthy, numbers.
All faction rankings have been checked against the next month's zone placements on the map, but a few inconsistencies remain:

Mar 2019	Faceless seems to have won with 8 zones against Swarm's 7.5, but in April Swarm was placed in the top position.
Nov 2019	Legion won with 14.5 Zones, Swarm and Faceless had 2 each, and Faceless should have been second with 2.5M over Swarm's 1.8M bots. However, in Dec 2019 Swarm got the 2nd place spot.
Feb 2020	Legion won with 10.5 Zones, Faceless should have been second with 5 zones and 6.7M bots and Swarm third with 4 zones and 5.7M bots, but Swarm has the 2nd place spot in March. The last day's battle reports for the Legion and Swarm grunt zones are missing. Legion Grunt has no capturer info, it is likely that it used to belong to Swarm (namakuOT was Swarm at the time). Even if they held this additional zone, they would be 1M bots short of having ranked 2nd.
Jul 2020	Legion won with 7.5 Zones, Swarm and Faceless both had 6. Faceless should have ranked 2nd with almost 2M bots more than Swarm but was once again placed in the lower right in August.
Sep 2020	Faceless seems to have won with 8 zones against Legion's 7.5, including a couple close calls, whereas in October Legion was placed on the top. None of the zones have been significantly changed by faction switches when compared to the battle reports though.
