Factors Weights Comments
Friends 50 The most important factor according to me and most others around me share the same opinion. Any exchange group should have at least 5 people. 1 person should be an excellent driver, 2-3 persons should know how to drive, at least 2 should know how to cook and all 5 of you must have good camarederie. You will get into trouble, things will go out of hand at times - It's important to have each other's back in those moments and come out of the situation instead of overthinking about how others will react. Half your foreign exchange experience will be marred by horror stories if your travel group is not good.\nAlso ensure your friends have classes on similar days/follow a similar schedule in case you are going to different colleges. If schedules clash, travel will become extremely difficult or you may have to cut short on experiences. Schedules should be compatible. Choose colleges which have fixed working days (ESSEC has Monday/Tuesday) or block courses.
