Rainbow 6 Ban

Hi,

I am the owner of the speedrun site for Rainbow 6 Siege and run many large communities on Discord for Siege, Warframe and Twitch.

This story starts on 31st March 2018. It was around 13:10 UTC, I was in the middle of my last ranked placement game. It was the last round of the match until suddenly, I get kicked from the game. About 30 seconds later, I got a pop up telling me I was banned permanently. WHAT? I had honestly never been so confused in my life. After a bit of digging, it should be way easier to tell, I found that I had been banned for "cheating."

I did some research and apparently, you normally get permabanned after a warning ban. I have never been banned from Rainbow 6 before. I have never cheated on any BattlEye game. I have never cheated on any game.

After making a ticket, this was the outcome:

They say that they are unable to tell me what triggered the ban, which I understand as if a real cheater got that information, they could make a tool that couldn't be detected, which isn't good for anyone. However, I am still confused many months later on the reason. I have no kind of cheating software on my computer, the closest thing is Cheat Engine, which is never ran anyway, I can't even remember the last time I used it.

I have played the game since Season 1, I own all year passes so far, I have paid for many skins, for example, the Season 1 Pro League skin pack. Suddenly, when Ubisoft wanted, all of that went down the drain. Way too many hours spent, way too much money spent. All gone. I hope with this, I can get some kind of response or be able to find the false positive that caused this and make sure that it is known to avoid any future wrongful bans. I still wonder what their investigation showed...

Give me a way to prove my innocence and I can.

Thanks for reading this far, Orangutan

EDIT: The original reddit post has been removed. Here is a screenshot of the post.

EDIT 2: Here is their reasoning. I guess Ubisoft will get away with this, they seem to stick with guilty until proven innocent approach. I got a lot of messages after the post about people being wrongfully banned but it seems that it does not grab Ubisoft's attention. I hope you can continue to share this and hopefully one day this issue will get coverage and hopefully sorted, as at the moment it seems that they are putting a lot of faith into their anti cheat so anyone claiming that it has false positives is dismissed. I do not mind if I am not unbanned, however, I hope that this can cause Ubisoft to look into these issues and make sure that they are banning people for actually breaking their ToS instead of just claiming that someone has without disclosing any information. I can't help but feel that this would be solved if I had a million followers...

EDIT 3: There's now a forum post.

EDIT 4: Looks like the forum post got removed.
