iOS 7 Design Quirk

It took me a while to figure out why I'm still uncomfortable with the design of iOS 7. It's not the flat design, I think that is so cool. Yesterday I realized it:

What if her name was longer? Would the name butt up against "< Messages"? I decided to find someone with a longer name:

Dang, still a pretty short name. What about a phone number?

What? They got around it by changing "< Messages" to "< Back"? That is a little weird. Why wouldn't it always say "< Back"? What happens when you are writing a "How to use iMessage" tutorial for your grandma and tell her to press the "< Messages" button, but it says "< Back" instead?

What happens when the title is even longer?

Now it just becomes "<".

This is what keeps me awake at night.
