Hair by Julie Carousel

When I started the planning stage of the Hair by Julie website, I knew I wanted to create a testimonial section. They had so many loyal customers but no way to show this online. I also wanted to provide a short bio on the employees so new customers would know who to expect when they walked in the door.

In my previous project, BBC iPlayer, I used Flickity to create a swipe-enabled carousel of landscape TV images. I was curious to find out if the knowledge I had gained from that experience would enable me to create a similar feature but with just plain HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.

I was then inspired to create a testimonial section with slides that contained image and text divs that had multiple navigational options. Users can wait for the slides to automatically advance, click one of the page dots to go to a specific slide or swipe left and right on a touchscreen.
