simple squash without rebase
## within current branch, squashes all commits that are ahead of master down into one
## useful if you merged with upstream in the middle of your commits (rebase could get very ugly if this is the case)
## commit any working changes on branch "mybranchname", then...
git checkout master
git checkout -b mybranchname_temp
git merge --squash mybranchname
git commit -am "Message describing all squashed commits"
git branch -m mybranchname mybranchname_unsquashed
git branch -m mybranchname

git hook to run a command after `git pull` if a specified file was changed.In this example it's used to run `npm install` if package.json changed and `bower install` if `bower.json` changed.Run `chmod +x post-merge` to make it executable then put it into `.git/hooks/`.

jQuery PubSub in three lines. This will work in IE9+, so it's a perfect choice for jQuery 2.0 projects.
var o = $({});
$.subscribe = o.on.bind(o);
$.publish = o.trigger.bind(o);

Jenkins setup

I just had to set up Jenkins to use GitHub. My notes (to myself, mostly):

Detailed Instructions

For setting up Jenkins to build GitHub projects. This assumes some ability to manage Jenkins, use the command line, set up a utility LDAP account, etc. Please share or improve this Gist as needed.
