Empathy

Emapthy is one of those things thats hard to see as big as it really is, until you stop to calculate it and become more self aware. That being said, empathy plays a really big role in my day-to-day life. That has provided me witht the ability to make valueable connections.

Empathy will help me build better software by allowing me to touch base with whomever is at the other end of my project. In doing multiple projects, it can wipe my biased view and let me impliment and change what others say and desire. Itll help me connect with people so i can complete a project for them as they want it.

Empathy is important for teamwork because it allows for smoother conversations. It gets the empathic workers to be able to fully understand, see, and hear what their teammates values are.

My ability to empathize has been coming in handy for quite some time now. One time, was at my place of work while i was working as a shift manager. There are plenty of opportunities to become empathetic in the work place

What Kind of Developer do I want to be?

I think working with taylor was a pretty great and eye opening experience. I have my own dilemas about the whole situation, sure. Just as I can assume that most people would in new situations like this. Most of my problems or things to say, mainly come from my own insecurities. Taylor is a very smart individual, and his ability and comfortability with code comes off as very intimidating. He worked really well with me, and if I had to stop him or slow him down to gather some clarification on the matter, he did not hesitate. Taylor didn't pressure me, or make me feel shamed for not knowing certain points right away, instead he helped me understand it. He set a couple of things in perspective for me, like my study times and better involving myself to become a better coder. Overall, I am very grateful to have gotten to work with him, and learn a few things from him along the way.
