Beginner's Guide to Git

Git is a version control system that is free and open source. It allows users to save work at specific moments in time, similar to how Google Docs has a feature that shows when edits were made and provides links to before certain edits took place. Git creates a system for people to work on the same project at the same time even if everyone isn't physically in the same place.

Here is a 10-minute video to help visually conceptualize git:
