I first went to the old man's house. "Always explore the scene of the crime", they said in detective school. Well my only actual education in detective work is from the magazines at the drug store. But I was an avid reader as a kid!
The police have been through here pretty thoroughly. I'd like to go to them and see what they know but somehow I never feel very welcome over there. Why do cops take such a competitive attitude?
This guy had quite a large collection of books. He must have sat at this desk here and...ouch. What's this? Hidden under the desk near my knees? It looks like a personal diary.
Ooooh...
'I cannot overcome these feelings I have for Nancy. I do not want to betray my dear wife but to feel so alive when I am with someone who expects so little...'
This is getting a bit steamy!
