I take one last puff of my cigarette and crush the end of it against the wall.
Two dark silhouettes emerge from the bustle of the street and into the poorly lit alleyway. As the two dark figures approach I panic, debating whether to walk past or take my chances by the dumpster. I duck. Upon further inspection, I notice that the man in the lead is a young Asian man; the beanie on his head reads "respect" and covers most of his head save for the scant jet black hair in the front that remains disheveled in a complete disarray. To my alarm, the man behind him urges him on with a gun at his back; the boy glances over in my direction and looks away instantly. I could have sworn he smiled before he commenced to walk further down the alleyway, no man in his right mind would be smiling at this moment.
I am stunned and unsure what to do now.
