Hacknet Speedrun Any% Notes by Pastillage

Update History:

  • v1.2.0 update new CSEC Route, this should be the fastest route now.
  • v1.3.0 update Found a way to skip Naix's hack
  • v1.3.5 Route updates to skip getting eosdevicescanner and Faster Sequencer

Rules:

All runs revolve around executing porthack on the Heart as fast as possible.

Any%/Cheat%:

  • Looking at your save data and using that info is strictly prohibited.
  • No guessing of randomized variables.
    • (i.e. The Entropy Test Server's Admin password is randomized (non-static), Naix's root gateway's ip is static (always the same).)

Known Hacknet Bugs

Bug: Sequencer does not become small unless you run the game at 100 or lower (Found by Molae & Pastillage)
Fix: Set your screen to 100 hz (or lower) (Rip frames)

Bug: Having : in your filename won't allow you to save.
Fix: Don't use : in your filename...

WillDrens: I know no one really cares, but here's the current Heart-Secure% as I see it now, including potential optimizations, though these might just be minor set-ups, and more research is needed in several key areas, namely shell commands and CSEC jobs.
[11:17 PM] WillDrens: After the opening tutorial quick end (type 'ps' after initialization complete, press enter when you see the 'Launching Tutorial', then type the kill command when you regain control of 'terminal')
