Insert the USB cable and maybe it automatically prompts the software centre and shows option to install foo2zjs and hplip. | |
Be careful and choose only the hplip one not both. If you installed foozjs uninstall it. | |
If you are in any other OS try installing hplip for that OS from the repos or get from sourceforge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/). | |
After successfully installing hplip: | |
- Open command line and run sudo hp-setup go through the process | |
- When it asks for the plugin file don’t download it through that terminal, | |
- instead download separately from this link https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/plugins. | |
- Provide the path and let it install then once completed it should work as expected. |
