Easily setup an Android development environment on a Mac

Here is a high level overview for what you need to do to get most of an Android environment setup and maintained.

Prerequisites (for Homebrew at a minimum, lots of other tools need these too):

  • XCode is installed (via the App Store)
  • XCode command line tools are installed (xcode-select --install will prompt up a dialog)
  • Java

Install Homebrew:

ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/go/install)"

Handlebars template inheritance
# Template composition with inclusion
Every template language I have seen provides some mechanism for one template to include another, thus supporting the reuse of repeated elements like headers and footers. The included templates are called partials in Mustache parlance:
```html
<!-- home.hbs -->
<html>
<body>
{{> header}}
<p> HOME </p>
{{> footer}}
Sync remote mysql database to local over ssh
#!/bin/bash
# This script assumes you have ssh access to a remote server
# Both databases are backed up to sql files in the same directory
# this script is executed from.
# Usage:
# 1. Make sure this file is executable with `chmod +x mysqlsync`
# 2. Set the credentials for the variables at the top
# (Remember, no spaces around the '=' sign)
# 3. Run it from a directory where you'd like the backup files to go:
Use of .invoke() instead of .forEach()
Did you know?
array.forEach(function(element) {
  element.doSomething(arg1, arg2);
});
Is equivalent to...
