Pull up two fasteners at a time in a diagonal sequence to disengage the heatsink and fan assembly from the motherboard. Carefully remove the heatsink and fan assembly from the motherboard. Rotate each fastener clockwise to ensure correct orientation when reinstalling. Narrow end of the groove The narrow end of the groove should point outward after resetting. Refer to the documentation in the boxed or stand-alone CPU fan package for detailed information on CPU fan installation. DDR2 DIMMs are notched differently to prevent installation on a DDR DIMM socket. You can connect the USB cable to ASUS Q-Connector USB, blue first, and then install the Q-Connector USB to the USB connector onboard. Never connect a USB cable to the IEEE a connector. You can connect the cable to ASUS Q-Connector , red first, and then install the Q-Connector to the connector onboard. Remove the jumper caps only when you intend to use the chassis intrusion detection feature. CHASSIS Default P5B Deluxe Chassis intrusion connector ATX power connectors pin EATXPWR, 2x4-pin EATX12V These connectors are for ATX power supply plugs. The power supply plugs are designed to fit these connectors in only one orientation. These connectors allow you to receive stereo audio input from sound sources such as a CD-ROM, TV tuner, or MPEG card. Connect the chassis power LED cable to this connector. The system power LED lights up when you turn on the system power, and blinks when the system is in sleep mode. Directions below shows how to install ASUS Q- Connector. Connect correct front panel to ASUS Q- Connector first. You can refer to the marking on Q-Connector itself to know the detail pin definition. Do not tilt the fan.
