Hosting private git repositories on Dreamhost via http

By default, without authentication of some sort, git-http-backend will deny pushes with something like:

error: Cannot access URL http://git.example.com/project.git/, return code 22
fatal: git-http-push failed

So have an htpasswd file in place:

htpasswd -c ~/passwords username
