On storing password hashes

Upgrade sha1 => scrypt without user logging in/pw reset:

μBackground:

We hash passwords with one-way hash functions to reduce the impact of password database compromise. Passwords hashed with salted SHA or MD5 can ofen be brute forced. Newer password hashhing techniques like Scrypt/Bcrypt/PBKDF2 add computational work to make brute forcing prohibitively expensive.

Problem:

Your service already has users with salted sha1 password hashes. Since you don't have their original passwords you can't upgrade to a modern password hash without getting each user to log in and enter their password.

You have (salt,sha(salt+password)), you want (salt, scrypt(salt,password))

Maybe you want to add a global "resolve" property to all routes in an angular app, this is one way you could achieve that. I would probably still factor out the logic inside my app.config block into some sort of Service abstraction, but this should serve as enough of a general idea.
app.constant("RouteManifest", {
"/login" : {
templateUrl: 'templates/login.html',
controller: 'LoginController'
},
"/home" : {
templateUrl: 'templates/home.html',
controller: 'HomeController'
},

Expose IIS or IISExpress running in a Parallels Windows 7/8 VM to your OS X host

Expose IIS or IISExpress running in a Parallels Windows 7/8 VM to your OS X host

Rename your virtual machine

In your Windows 7/8 VM, go to Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Computer Name and click Change. Name this whatever you like, e.g. windows. Restart your VM.

Add an ACL rule

Open CMD or Powershell as administrator. Add a URL ACL entry for your new name on the port of your choice, e.g.
netsh http add urlacl url=http://windows:8080/ user=everyone

Add a firewall rule
