Coursera Trading Basic Notes

Week 1

  1. Assets = Liabilties + Equity

  2. Marketable securities: investment company is doing like stocks bonds ..etc.

  3. Net income = Revenue - Expenses

  4. PP&E: Plant, Property and Equipment.

  5. Net product/service sale: revenue without any cut like tax or depreciation.

  6. COGS: Cost of goods sold.

  7. Gross profit = Revenue - COGS

  8. SG&A: Selling, General and Administration expenses.

  9. EBIT: Earning before interst and taxes.

  10. Operation profit = Gross profile - operation expenses

NOTE: Operation profit = EBIT

  1. EBITDA: Earning before interst tax depreciation and Amortization.

  2. EPS: Earning per share.
