If we write the number out in expanded form, showing the value of each digit, we would write it as 1,000,000 + 200,000 + 30,000 + 4,000 + 500 + 60 + 7. And that's all there is to it! In this lesson, you will learn how to read and write numbers in expanded form by using arrow cards. In expanded form of a number, the number is shown according to the place values of its digits. An example: if the number is greater than one thousand and the word hundred is missing, then there is a 0 in the hundreds place when the number is written in standard form.
