sudo apt-get install python-pip
Install powerline
sudo pip install powerline-status
Install fonts
sudo apt-get install fonts-powerline
Add these lines to respective files:

.vimrc
> set rtp+=/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/powerline/bindings/vim/
